I was chatting with Michelle about last week’s blog, and she said, “That’s a lot of work.” And she’s right. Writing captions that actually spark conversations and bring in inquiries is a lot of work.
If you missed it, last week I shared the four key things we gather for every portfolio project to write captions for our clients. The insights from those questions give us the angles we use to tell compelling stories—the kind that get our clients inquiries.
One-liners and one-sided stories won’t cut it in 2025 if you want new projects. Actually, one of the biggest mistakes I see is telling the same story from the same angle over and over again.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:
📌 For every photo, there are three easy stories to tell—the client story, the design story, and the project story.
And if I had to pick the most important one? It’s the client story. Because people don’t just connect with beautiful spaces—they connect with people.
Your audience isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Some only need to hear about the design details to know you’re the right fit. Others need emotion—they want to feel how their daily life will transform. Some connect through humour, while others crave education.
That’s why diversifying your storytelling is the single most important thing you can do when it comes to writing captions that actually get people to take action. Different stories resonate with different people. And when you mix it up, you expand the number of people who see themselves in your work.
But, as Michelle pointed out, that’s a lot of work.
And this is exactly why our clients hire us.
Because writing captions that actually turn into inquiries isn’t something you can just wing—it’s a strategy. And like any good strategy, it needs structure and consistency.
When I say we tell your brand story beautifully and effectively, this is what I mean.
Your online presence shouldn’t just look good. It should work for you.
If you’re ready for captions that do more than just fill space under a post, let’s talk.
